Hi, I'm Vanessa, but you can call me Vanz!

I have been working since 2010 related to Web Development mostly in the corporate industry but lately as a freelancer and have also done project management, lead a development team and done technical customer support. During my years, I take pride of being knowledgeable in PHP, HTML, XML, Javascript, JQuery, AJAX, CSS and SASS. Using SVN or Git version control system, and as for database, been using MySQL/MariaDB. Also have experience using Symfony, Yii, Codeigniter frameworks and Wordpress / OpenCart CMSs. I also have knowledge and background on Integration, Web Services, APIs and Data Migration. Maybe that's it to name a few? 🤔

I take pride in providing quality output with which I was given a Kudos award for providing work exceeding their expectations and has jumped 3 levels directly to reach senior level in my early experience.

Learning new things makes me happy and excited. Lately I've been drawn into the world of AI and would someday like to become a Machine Learning Engineer (hence the empty Machine Learning spot in this portfolio 😝) as such I have started studying about it and learning new language like Python.

Despite my years of experience, I believe that there's a lot out there that can be learned and I believe everything can be learned as long as you put your heart into it.

On the other hand, I enjoy and love dancing and travelling.🥰

Well, I'm not really a blogger so I guess that's all about me. Maybe next time I should ask ChatGPT to write something quixotic. LOL 🤭🤫

I have just started this portfolio and GitHub, I know it's a bit late but beter late than never yeah? 😭🙏

Since I mostly work within our local area, I used to think that my experience alone is enough (anyway, companies here could call your previous company or call someone from your list of character references). But now that I'm into freelancing and have clients internationally, I just realized the importance of creating my own portfolio, or else, how would my clients know how I work?

Whew, I did hope I started this earlier, maybe I could have added a lot of mini projects already. But hey, again, I'm still young so will update this with new projects from time to time.

❗❗So, my point is, if you are a developer or someone whos work revolves online, build your portfolio now so it can gradually grow as your experience grow. Chao!❗❗
